An exposition of our culinary metaphysics and modus operandi... We learn about the nutrient from that outstanding old physician, Hippocrates, who wrote a short thesis on it in 400 BCE. We then provide our own spin to his enigmatic proclamations about the assimilation of food. Physiologically, food is power. It is one in its essence, many in its manifestations. In everything (even in air) power is latent until it flourishes thanks to the conditions of its environment ("for even breath is nutriment").
